Privacy notice regarding the use of BarriGo.Tool

This website uses the accessibility software BarriGo.Tool from LayerAcht GmbH, Marktstraße 4, 84056 Rottenburg an der Laaber. The software serves to improve the website's digital accessibility and to enable all users to have equal access to information.

Data processing

To provide its functionalities, the software processes the following technical data: – Symbols and graphic elements are loaded directly via the system as SVG code, so no external image files are required. – When certain functions are activated, the software saves individual user settings (e.g., contrast mode, font size) locally in the browser – specifically in local storage, session storage, or in technically necessary cookies. This information is not transferred to Layer Acht or third parties. No personal data is stored or shared. Local storage relates exclusively to technical preferences and serves the user's operation of the tool. It is carried out on the basis of Section 25 Paragraph 2 No. 2 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG), as it is solely necessary for providing an explicitly requested function.

Note regarding the integration of external logos:

If a website operator or cooperation partner integrates their own logo into BarriGo.Tool (possible via individual customization of the embed code) that is not stored locally on the website but loaded via an external URL (e.g., CDN), a connection to this external server is established upon request. In this process, the IP address of the requesting device is transmitted to the third-party server. This processing is not within the control of LayerAcht GmbH, but rather falls under the data protection responsibility of the website operator.

Server access and license check

When individual components of the BarriGo.Tool are accessed, a technically necessary check is performed on LayerAcht GmbH servers to ensure licensing and functionality. This process also involves processing the IP address of the accessing device. This processing is solely for technical purposes related to license verification and ensuring the tool's operational reliability. No linking with other data, no profiling, and no disclosure to third parties takes place. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, as it is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of ensuring the contractual and secure use of the software.
